From radio servers to the people on the other side of the screen.
I started with WordPress in 2011, running the tech for FireMud FM, an online radio I co-founded to give undiscovered musicians a stage. In 2014 it won second place in the founder’s prize at Fachhochschule Frankfurt, where I was studying High Integrity Systems. From 2015 I built WordPress platforms for clients at dkd Internet Service in Frankfurt.
Then came product work. As Product Owner at Searchmetrics in Berlin I saw what search data says about real visitors, and at StudySmarter I led the tech behind the website. Since 2024 I work for myself, as a fractional CTO and UX consultant for companies whose website has to bring in leads.
Along the way I’ve been on stage a lot: 20 WordCamps across Europe and Asia, two Learn WordPress workshops and two Wolves Summit sessions. The early talks were about servers and speed. The recent ones are about the people using the site.
The full list of roles and projects is in my CV.
